My daughter went to OLP and my son currently attends. Its a fantastic school and I don't think anything compares to it. I was on PPO for many years and the play structure that is currently there was all bought on fundraised money by the parents that send their kids there. I feel that if the school board gives this up, this money should go right back to PPO OLP community so that we could give it back to our kids. Anything less would be an injustice!

I cannot express what OLP is to me and my children. There is too much to say. My children talk daily about how much they love their school, teachers, principal, secretary. The support and encouragement they receive daily is beyond words and a change like this is beyond devastating. OLP is the heartbeat of my children’s education, wellbeing and future.

Here’s another that sounds like a different person:
Our community needs accessible English-language schools that families can rely on. Closing this school would place unnecessary pressure on neighbouring schools and could lead to larger class sizes and overcrowding. A safe, well-located school that continues to serve local families should be protected, not closed.

There is nothing like OLP! Small community, close community full of heart! The older students know and help the younger ones, staff is incredible! There’s a reason why we are sending our kids to OLP!

Keeping this school open is important for families in the community. Closing a well-located and safe elementary school would only put additional pressure on surrounding schools and contribute to larger, overcrowded classrooms. Students deserve accessible schools where they can learn in an environment that supports their education and well-being.

OLP elementary is an excellent school and its teacher to student ratio is ideal. My grandchildren love it there. Please consider keeping it open.

I attended this elementary school from 2003–2010.
English public schools in Quebec already face significant challenges with funding and resources, and keeping our schools open is crucial. This school is in a good, safe location and serves an important role in the community. Closing it would risk further overcrowding in surrounding schools, which can negatively affect the learning environment and the attention children receive. Please keep this school open.

My 2 kids go to this school currently. We live down the street. Its such an important part of the community. The staff and school have a sense of family that I never had as a kid and I dont want my kids to loose that!

I highly doubt you will ever find a parent or student that will say something negative about this school. The tight-knit community that this school displays is unmatchable.

This is the village thats helping to raise and mould my child into the leader that i know she will undoubtedly become. To one day return and help lead the next generation.
