OLP is more than a school building. It is a community our children love and a place where they feel known, supported and at home. Our families chose OLP because of what makes it unique, and we believe that community deserves every chance to continue.

I grew up at this school, almost 18 years later thé teachers still remember every kid and leave important lessons in our hearts. It may be a small school but it so much more important than it may seem

OLP has been wonderful for my daughter, who has specialized learning needs. The small class sizes and dedicated teachers provide the individual attention and support she needs to thrive. Moving her now would be detrimental to her learning and well-being. I strongly hope decision-makers consider the impact of closing OLP on the students and families who depend on this school. Our children deserve an environment where they can learn, grow, and OLP has provided exactly that for my daughter.

It honestly makes me really sad to hear that the school may be closing. It’s so much more than just a building—it’s a place where children learn, grow, make friends, and create so many beautiful memories. I especially feel for all the families who have their children there, including my friend whose child attends OLP. I truly hope there is a way to keep the school open and preserve the community and environment that so many children and families have come to love.

I attended OLP many years ago, and now my children are going to this school. OLP provides such a sense of community to the students, as well as the parents. The principal is wonderful and so caring of everyone in the community. I feel like my children feel safe and seen and empowered at OLP. I would love to see this school stay open so that my children can complete their elementary education there. One another important note, I also love the French immersion program that OLP offers!!

OLP has a specialized approach that you don't find in larger schools. Losing this school would be truly tragic

We need to protect our English schools and stop overloading them with too many students per class.

I’ve signed this petition because our English schools are an important part of our communities and our children’s future. We need to protect access to quality English education in Quebec and ensure that families have the opportunity to choose the education that is right for their children. Please listen to our communities and keep our English schools open.
