Petition to name the NC Auditorium in honor of Paul Walker
We urge Northern Cambria to name the newly renovated school auditorium in honor of Paul Walker, whose work as a retired band director has shaped the lives of students and strengthened musical excellence throughout the district and surrounding areas for more than 60 years.
Mr. Walker’s long service to the community reflects the best of what public education can be. He gave his time, skill, and care to generations of students, helping them grow not only as musicians but as young people with confidence, discipline, and pride in their work. His impact reaches far beyond the classroom and has become part of the shared life of Northern Cambria and nearby communities.
Naming the auditorium after Mr. Walker would be a fitting and lasting tribute to that legacy. It would recognize a lifetime of dedication in a place where students will continue to gather, learn, perform, and build memories of their own. It would also send a strong message that this community values people who give so much to others and whose contributions deserve to be remembered.
We respectfully ask that the newly renovated Northern Cambria school auditorium be named for Paul Walker, in honor of his many years of service and the lasting difference he has made.

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition or sent in letters! For those of you that don’t know, the motion was passed at the most recent NC School Board meeting & Mr. Walker’s name will be added to the auditorium. We are in the planning stages of the dedication & will update with details as soon as possible.

I'm happy to sign this because my dad had made such an impact on the band and music students and continues to impact the community. It was his first job out of college and worked pretty much every day year round til he retired - he always gave it his all - heart and soul. A lot of former students have said they don't know how they would have made it through if it wasn't for band and Mr. Walker.
Had the pleasure of meeting him when he stopped by the house to talk to Sam just because he thought about him going by the house. Such a nice gentleman. My husband said he was the band teacher for NC. And to follow up with students 35+ years later says he cared about his students.
Mr. Walker has given so much to our community and has been such a wonderful teacher to me personally. He continues to show up for his past students and the current music students of NC. His legacy in our music program spans several generations.
Mr Walker continues to show up to all musical performances and football games to this day years after his retirement! If anyone deserves a show of gratitude for his dedication to the NC music program, it’s definitely Mr. Walker!
Mr. Walker was a great music, teacher.
Paul is an amazing person and has made a difference in many peoples lives.
I have known Paul for years.He is truly an inspiration for all, not just his students. He has helped some many kids realize their true potential. After dedicating his life to education he is more than deserving of this honor!

Mr.Walker is not only one of the best music instructors I've had the opportunity of having as a teacher, he's also one of the very best teachers I've had and one of the best humans I've ever met. He deserves this honor!
