Chats are to the modern trader what the floor was to the floor trader - a live representation of sentiment. It is vital for trading and removing it is a bad mistake.

Trading is a lonely occupation and the chat room is a place where people share ideas, set ups and boost morale. Its a real community and its one of the reasons i subscribe to TV as lots of other options for charts and indicators.

When markets move quickly, I jump into chats to find out what is going on. Without this I will lose one of the key features I like about TradingView.

due to TV chat community, I learned everything I know so far and is the only thing that makes TV different from other platforms. Everything else you can find anywhere else even better features and even cheaper.

The public chat room is the only reason I pay for TradingView at all. It’s been obvious for years that the company just simply cannot censor us enough (the ridiculous amount of moderation shows this), so now you are eliminating the feature altogether. What an embarrassment for a company!!
Hopefully, you will lose as much money as you deserve to lose because of this decision.

I only subscribe for the chat. You could just make chatters sign a waiver or something. This is community killing censorship. I'm going to Takeprofit if you close the public chat.

Chat gives real time news before it even drops, many extremely well connected and experienced traders in chat to learn from, and find community sentiment and community in like minded individuals. I will be cancelling my subscription if this goes ahead.

TradingView public chat is the premier place for traders to get their feet wet with live response. It is undoubtedly a core feature of the site. TV chat's community makes other wildly popular alternatives pale in comparison - there should be an overhaul to improve this feature. Not an elimination.

Tradingview's public chats are fundamental to the platform. It brings in new users. TV will lose many memberships if people can't chat with each other as easy as we have done alllll these years. The users are what shaped Tradingview all these years. Public chats allow you to connect with people that have other ways of thinking and I have learnt a lot myself from them. It's sad to see public chats go away, but anyway...congratulations on losing clients!
