For several years, athletes, owners, and equestrian community members have been subjected to unacceptable behavior at national and international showgrounds by Eva Van Avermaet.

What initially began as intrusive video recordings has escalated into a structured system of harassment, provocation, and blackmail that severely undermines event serenity and harms the equestrian sport as a whole.

Key Allegations & Ground Facts:

1. Undermining Athlete Safety and Mental Well-being:

Eva Van Avermaet deliberately targets riders—particularly high-profile athletes and public figures—around warm-up arenas and ring perimeters. Through aggressive, close-range video recording and daily verbal provocations, she intentionally disrupts the focus essential to horse-and-rider safety.

2. Misuse of Footage, Defamation, and Content Monetization:

Footage captured without consent is systematically edited, cut, and taken out of context to publish misleading, defamatory content on social media. These videos are deployed in smear campaigns designed to drive traffic toward online fundraising pages.

3. Illegal Crowdfunding and Personal Enrichment (Under Active Investigation):

By exploiting the visibility and reputation of prominent riders, she collects substantial monthly sums through illegal online fundraisers for personal financial gain. These fraudulent financial practices and the monetization of harms caused to athletes are currently under active investigation by authorities.

4. Failure to Comply with Legal and Platform Rulings:

Despite formal legal notices (mises en demeure) issued by riders and repeated content removals by Meta (Facebook/Instagram) for privacy violations and defamation, these harmful activities persist unchecked.

5. Escalation to Physical Violence:

Recently, during an event at the Pôle International du Cheval in Deauville, the situation reached an alarming threshold: politely requesting her to cease recording resulted in direct physical violence (punches to the face). This attack has been formally reported to law enforcement, supported by eyewitness testimony and official medical reports.

Our Demands:

Equestrian sports are built on respect, integrity, safety, and fair play. Athlete peace of mind and personal image rights must no longer be compromised for illegal financial gains.

Through this petition, the equestrian community (riders, owners, trainers, volunteers, and supporters) officially urges the FEI, the FFE, and Event Organizers to:

 Issue a formal Venue Exclusion Order banning Eva Van Avermaet from all showgrounds and venues under FEI and FFE jurisdiction.

 Empower Event Organizers and Ground Juries to immediately remove any individual disrupting public order or athlete psychological well-being.

 Actively protect athletes against harassment, defamation, and the unauthorized commercial exploitation of their likeness.
