I strongly support promoting human rights and protecting human dignity as these are fundamental to APPNA's mission and to the values we uphold as physicians. I also encourage the establishment of clearly defined goals, responsibilities, scope, and governance boundaries, consistent with the APPNA Constitution and Bylaws, to ensure the committee serves its purpose with transparency, accountability, effectiveness, and a steadfast commitment to APPNA's mission.

Because of no rule of law in pakistan. Thousands of people are in jail without proper court trial, hundreds of people have been killed. Election has been stolen. The most respected and honest leader of pakistan Imran khan is in prison wrongly, he is in solitary confinement for more than 7 months, he is not allowed to meet his children, family members and his attorneys. Dr Yasmeen Rashida (teacher of teachers) is wrongly put in prison along with many other political prisoners.

Human rights issues are apolitical and have been conveniently ignored since the inception of APPNA. We as the Doctors in US must take action to stop any further violations in Pakistan.

There is no value of human life without human rights. Death is cheap in absence of human rights.

I firmly believe in human rights. Human rights are not political—they are universal. Every person deserves dignity, justice, freedom, and equal protection under the law. We should stand against injustice, hatred, and the denial of fundamental rights, regardless of who is affected. Defending human rights is not a partisan position; it is a shared moral responsibility. I fully support forming this committee.

A standing Human Rights Committee would provide a structured, non-partisan, and principled framework to address issues affecting human rights , human dignity, healthcare access, medical neutrality, and the rights of individuals and vulnerable populations; wherever they occur.
