Appna being a physician organization should be in the forefront for raising awareness and be the voice for human rights advocacy not only in Pakistan but all over the world.
Appna leadership needs to distance itself from human rights abusing regimes .
The Appna Human Rights committee should be empowered to investigate and if needed censure the president and board members who indulge in appeasement and favoritism with authoritarian regimes.
