Manresa should be left to the original concept as a Conservation area.
A solar array to help reduce electricity costs and clean the pollution, and a community garden, walking trails, waterfront benches, tables, trees should be the extent of use…..for Norwalk only(just like Calf Oasture beach).

I am new to the neighborhood facing Manresa, And I am just not understanding how there will be only 1 access road, Woodward avenue to access Manresa? It's already too much traffic for the size of that street. There should not be a project without a real plan that includes another way to access it.

I have spent time recreating and fishing around Manresa my entire life. I would rather it remain a defunct power plant than see developed. Woodward Ave is already slow and cannot handle any more cars coming in. Make it a park and wildlife preserve.

Started out well, but feels like a bait and switch. Norwalk doesn’t have the infrastructure to accommodate this much traffic and this many people getting from i95 on narrow two lane roads. This will do more harm than good and NO new zone

Manresa can’t have an open slate approved for plans that are forthcoming. They need to tell us what exactly they are planning to do and get each activation approved accordingly. The special zoning permit gives them Carte Blanche to do whatever they want - and that is unacceptable.

The main building is already a huge eyesore marring the coastline for all - the plan to convert to glass will create a disco ball effect, reflecting the sun from sunrise to sunset in every direction from east to west, looking like an even more noticeable office building, ruining the natural coastland forever. Invest the enormous budget that will be required to renovate the building into taking it down and creating a public park that can still serve as an educational hub and natural preserve.

We don't need a hotel and restaurants, bringing additional traffic. Our town is over built enough. Let's keep this as a project to benefit the residents of Norwalk, the taxpayers of Norwalk. Let's not increase traffic in a city that has more than it can keep up with already.
