Where to start as far as the negative impacts go… The health of the citizens, the environmental impacts, the noise, the affects on the local climate for farms, the water supply, changing the land… I could go on and on. We’ve already seen the negative effects of data centers on towns across the country. This will not bring jobs. This will not positively affect the area. Make the right decision for the citizens of Boone!

We don't want the emerging economics in our town/area development to be destroyed by drought, the Des Moines River polluted and dried up, disgusting dead brown water flowing through our faucets, hurting farming & crop production, hurt & drive away wildlife, and be burdened with elevated water & electric bills that we can't afford. Build this SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Because I do not want a demand on local resources for something that does not involve our real, local community. I also do not support the use of AI, especially in regards to disconnection from real, personal relationships and opportunities for learning.

Electricity is probably the biggest long-term issue. Boone residents already pay higher electric bills, this could be catastrophic for some residents. Plus water usage. General small town lifestyle. They’re already adding dairy Goliath Daisy. Enough already.

Negotiations start with $10,000 yearly Data Center Dividend paid to every household in the City of Boone with annual increases for inflation. That includes every family living in a home, apartment, anything with an electric meter. If payment is not made, then the Data Center will be owned by the city. Negotiations can continue or they pound sand.

Iowa already has too many - as does this country.
STOP allowing rich people to further AI influence!
STOP allowing rich people to use our water and electricity.
