Data centers have no place in Boone. We have enough water problems here in town as it is, we don't need a data center using more.

Data Centers are environmental nightmares. The economic benefits would not stay in Boone with the short term employment boom likely to go to large contractors from Des Moines or out of state. In addition Boone does not have the infrastructure to support the energy or water needs of this data center.
We need to focus on opportunities to improve the town not the bottom line of corporate interests.

Some facts:
It will be 30% SMALLER than the Ames Target
It will use virtually NO water
It will be quite (Ive tested the Des Moines LightEdeg data centers.
It will produce no pollution (all water is treated before release)
It WILL generate about$1 million every year, which will lower taxes, help schools, public safety and medical facilitis and improve our quality of life!
