Kafka Life Drawing was born during the Covid lockdown, when two Belgian artist friends, Sofie and Annelies, started hosting wildly conceptual online life drawing sessions to bring creativity (and a bit of sanity) to people stuck at home around the world.

When life returned to normal, so did they—and Kafka Life Drawing quietly disappeared.

Until an artist residency in Bangalore changed everything.

After hosting their first in-person session at @blrcreativecircus in March 2026, something unexpected happened: people wanted more. A lot more.

Now Annelies is based in Hyderabad and, together with @darkvibesociety, is bringing Kafka Life Drawing to India on a regular basis. There’s just one small problem…

So we’ve decided to do the only sensible thing: start a petition.
