The pantry needs to stay open, I've seen so many families struggle in my area of morten bay, to have something like this in Brisbane City council removed would be more harmful to those who need it the most.

This is important for everyone. This initiative is quite literally saving people from hunger and making life possible. Why stop that, why make it less that what it is - we should all be helping making it more than it is. Save the food pantry!!

In my opinion, the Community Pantry must stay open because everyone deserves access to food, dignity and support when times are tough.

This is very important to the community & helps a-lot of people and families who are struggling and unable to afford to buy food in tight times. Shame on whomever complained.

I don’t live in the area but am At Dayboro and I know important this service is. Where would we all be if there weren’t people like you helping so many. I do hope there is a solution found to suit all. Thank you for what you do.

Signing to help keep this valuable service open so those who need it can have access to food that would otherwise go to waste.

Please support locals helping others and those who fill the gap where government should step in. The closure of this service is mean spirited and wrong.

This is an important measure to fill the gap that cannot be serviced by the council or government. It is a valuable link between those who have the ability to donate and those who are in desperate need of help.

Food for needy people? Why shouldn’t it be made available? Well done to these folk for providing such a vital necessity.

This kind of community lead support for people who are having a hard time feeding themselves in a reliable way is unbelievably valuable and feels a huge gap left by government services at every level. We need more of these community pantries, and we need Council and other agencies to work with the volunteers to make them safe and accessible – they are already a powerhouse of humanity!

There is a cost of living and housing crisis that is seeing a lot of people skipping meals or going hungry to make ends meet and living in unstable conditions. I think its awesome some community members took initiative to help their neighbors. You have to be a legit villain of a person to want to shut this down. If you are a local passing by and you see room for improvement then how about you get involved and give support rather than shutting down something made to help everyone get through.

There are so many people having a hard time so community help is so appreciated and needed. Government help just isn’t there.
