Helps feed us. We are pensioners and are no longer able to survive on the pension

Signing to help keep this valuable service open so those who need it can have access to food that would otherwise go to waste.

Please support locals helping others and those who fill the gap where government should step in. The closure of this service is mean spirited and wrong.

This is an important measure to fill the gap that cannot be serviced by the council or government. It is a valuable link between those who have the ability to donate and those who are in desperate need of help.

Food for needy people? Why shouldn’t it be made available? Well done to these folk for providing such a vital necessity.

This kind of community lead support for people who are having a hard time feeding themselves in a reliable way is unbelievably valuable and feels a huge gap left by government services at every level. We need more of these community pantries, and we need Council and other agencies to work with the volunteers to make them safe and accessible – they are already a powerhouse of humanity!

There is a cost of living and housing crisis that is seeing a lot of people skipping meals or going hungry to make ends meet and living in unstable conditions. I think its awesome some community members took initiative to help their neighbors. You have to be a legit villain of a person to want to shut this down. If you are a local passing by and you see room for improvement then how about you get involved and give support rather than shutting down something made to help everyone get through.

There are so many people having a hard time so community help is so appreciated and needed. Government help just isn’t there.

Food banks provide such an important service to people who do not have food security. Closing a food bank is counterproductive.

With more and more people struggling with their bills and living expenses what harm can a food pantry do? I suggest none at all, only good can come from having some free food and friendship in today’s sad and sorry world. I am shocked and saddened that anyone would complain. I want to give praise to all the wonderful people who volunteer their time. And/or give freely to help others less fortunate than themselves.

Because while Governments fail to care for their people, those who do should be supported, not demonised.

It is so important in these tough times to do whatever we can and raise ground roots understanding and encourage our community to look out for others. Please don’t let well intended bureaucracy stamp on this fabulous initiative.

Come together, everyone could be one pay check away from needing to ask for help, we’ve donated to here & seen the gratitude and help that this service provides

This community pantry is such a vital service. It would be devastating for many if it were to close
