The local community pantry is an important part of our everton park community & families. I'd hate to see it shut down because people complain about lining up for some bread or cant find a park to get off the road. Plenty of parking id you drive up the side streets and park and walk a bit. Really shouldn't be any reason to close it down when they are helping so many struggling people in the area.

This community let initiative is providing hope & food for those who are struggling & have been abandoned by the system.
This initiative is people centric, communities helping each other during rough times. How can the council be opposed to supporting such a community driven project that helps people in need.

A community is about helping those around you that are less fortunate to be able to live their best lives. Our family had donated to the pantry and it’s a great lesson for our children in giving others a helping hand in whatever small way we can.

The EPCP is vital for our community members in the what seems to be never ending crises that keep us from getting food on the table, whether it’s cost of living, housing, Medicare - everything seems to be working against us at the moment on a federal level and it’s up to us as community members to make sure we’re caring for our fellow members. To the person/s that made me the complaint, I hope you’re real proud of yourself sitting behind your veil of anonymity.

Although I do not access the pantry myself it is an incredibly important initiative for the benefit of our community members in need.

What an excellent outreach. Feeding the community is so important & it only takes one person to ruin what is a community necessity. Someone doing good it would be a shame to have this taken away from a place that is central for peopke to access.

I’m a direct neighbour of the pantry and see firsthand the incredible support it provides to our community. I openly welcome the people who visit each day, and I think the canopy structure has been a great addition to the space.
Seeing the kindness, generosity and sense of community that surrounds the pantry genuinely restores my faith in the good things in the world. I would absolutely love to see it continue operating in its current location ❤️

We can’t keep ignoring that people are homeless and/or can’t afford food regardless of their situation. These folks must be supported.

I think it provides a vital service for many people having a tough time during this time of rising expenses and for the rising amount of people experiencing homelessness.
This is such a valuable community service.
