The members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (around the corner on Rogers Parade) are proud to support the pantry.

The EP community pantry is an integral part of our community in the current cost of living and housing crisis. It isn't in the way or causing an obstruction at all and it would be a shame to see it go because of someone complaining about people in need being fed.

This community initiative is practicality, support and kindness in action and should be supported rather than attacked. Clearly it is a wonderful service for those that require a little extra help and connection.

Because life is hard enough for many and having a place to find reprieve from.the cost of living and have a chance to eat is of utmost importance

Because it’s a great initiative helping disadvantaged people struggling with poverty, hunger, homelessness. The support is priceless. There needs to be more places like this around!

Helping those that are in need is important. There is not enough government assistance / payments to help people get food in their table. This is a community trying to assist others. Leave them be

This supports thoses in need while reducing food waste. I love seeing people pop in there. I enjoy the loaves of bead in toasties and send them with my apprentice son who is thourghly loving them in winter. I give back where I can too. It brings the community together, please support this continuing for all those who use it.

As someone who is struggling with the cost of living this community pantry helps reduce the cost of feeding myself and my family and ensures that we can eat. The council needs to stop being so reactive to one person submitting a complaint and focus on what is beneficial for the community as a whole, which is keeping this community pantry open and operational. As commander Spock said “The needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few or the one!”

This is an essential service for those who are in need. Without it some families or people may not be able to get help with food basics. Why this service is being questioned is beyond me. It needs to stay.

I really worry about how the cost of living crisis is leaving people behind, when I drive past the pantry it makes me so happy and thankful that I live in a community where neighbours help each other out.

The people who run this are amazing. The people who need it deserve support. It is doing good and not doing harm
