Keep Serra open! A closure would be devastating to many families in the area. There are ways to fill classrooms, not close them.

I live in the neighborhood and also taught at this wonderful school. The facility and facilities are great; All new playground equipment recently installed as well as a large bank of solar panels. As home owner in the neighborhood, I love living near a thriving school. My home value would go down with its closure.

Both of my children went K-5 at Serra and I live in the Serra neighborhood. It is a wonderful school with incredible teachers. It is also an important part of the surrounding neighborhood.

This school is amazing. The staff. The proximity to my house. My son just started school (TK) and it was a huge transition for him. Everyone there has made him so comfortable and happy.

J Serra is an exceptional neighborhood school on many levels. Relocating this community risks losing the qualities that make the school so successful. For example, dedicated and experienced staff, gold standard implementation of PBIS framework, and an active PTA. It is evident the teachers and staff put their hearts into this school and my daughter is thriving as a result. A school’s culture cannot simply be transferred along with its students. Please keep Serra open.

I grew up down the street and went to J Serra as a student and loved it. All of the teachers were amazing, and I loved the community. It was so fun being able to make friends with my classmates that also lived near me. Now, as an adult, I have had the opportunity to substitute for three years in the district, and have spent a majority of that time subbing here at Serra School. It is evident that the staff care about the students, and they are all so incredible.

Keep Serra open! New playgrounds, TK classrooms, amazing award winning teachers, new solar, spacious outdoor campus, 2 onsite aftercare programs, 3 huge easy drop off areas and centered in a large community built for families. This school demonstrates what a vibrant community anchor a deeply loved school is with high attendance and engagement and plenty of room to grow and add income. Save Serra!!

Please do not close Serra school. It's more than a campus; it's a community where children feel safe, families are connected, and students receive an outstanding education. Many families and daycares rely on being able to walk to school, creating stronger relationships and a true neighborhood environment. Please protect this valuable school for current and future students.

I went to J. Serra as a kindergartener, then worked at J Serra for my first job as a paraeducator at 19 years old! Now my daughter attends J. Serra and we are heartbroken that future families may not have the same memories we have of J. Serra. It is a long standing school worth keeping!
