PETITION FOR THE INSTALLATION OF 8 SPEED BUMPS ALONG TRIQ IL-PWALES.
We, the undersigned residents and concerned members of the community, are calling on the St Paul’s Bay Local Council and Transport Malta to urgently install 8 strategically positioned speed bumps along Triq il-Pwales.
This road is increasingly being used as a drag-racing runway, with vehicles travelling at excessive speeds and putting residents and their pets, pedestrians, children, motorists and stray animals at serious risk.
Schoolchildren use this road almost daily when visiting the new Green Project Park and the Simar Nature Reserve, making effective traffic-calming measures especially important.
Sadly, many stray cats and kittens have already lost their lives on this road, and the continued speeding puts even more vulnerable animals at risk.
We urge the authorities to take preventative action before a serious accident or tragedy occurs. Eight speed bumps would help reduce vehicle speeds and make Triq il-Pwales safer for everyone.
Please support this petition and help us protect our community, our children, residents and their pets, and our vulnerable stray animals.
We Thank You for your support.
Stray Cats crossing by are also important and due consideration needs to be given.
