The current tennis courts provided to our Dinuba High School tennis players at the DIS campus have continued eroding every single year. And now, they are too dangerous to play on that visiting teams competing against DHS have refused to play on our courts, there are cases of injuries reported by individuals who were playing on the courts recreationally and are not DHS students, and we are prohibited from playing home games until the new tennis courts are built at the new high school or the district finally decided to resurface our current tennis courts. But the district refuses to give a date to resurface our current courts and there is recent word that they are going to delay the construction of the new tennis courts for two more years when they were supposed to build the new tennis courts earlier this past spring. This means that all of our whole current junior year class who plays tennis will not every play a home game for DHS again just because they aren’t provided with the proper courts that they were promised a long time ago. Our current sophomore and freshman classes will also not be able to play home games until senior or junior years. So I am starting this petition to bring to the board meeting on November 19th because enough is enough and we need to show that all of us our fed up and need our tennis courts built immediately because it is important for our district to make sure every student at DHS provide education opportunities equally to every student including our tennis players who want to go out and play the sport they love.

It upsets me how these courts prevent my team and I from attending home games, by signing this it’ll help future Dinuba tennis players to not face the problems my team are experiencing now.
As a graduate of DHS I believe students should have access to be able to practice their sports at the high school and not have to constantly go through a struggle just because they want to do an extracurricular activity. I want my younger brothers to be able play sports on that campus like they were promised
We were promised new sports facilities during our transfer to the new DHS, however we did not expect the district to withhold from the construction for so long. As someone who recently joined tennis I believe it is unprofessional that they are not taking to account our sports teams necessities as a whole, it is extremely upsetting to consider that our Dinuba Tennis teams will not be able to play further home games due to the conditions of our current ones.
This was my first year in tennis at DHS as a sophomore. I love the sport. But this delay could take away all home games until my senior year and for many others this past season might have been their last year having home games at all. Please encourage others to sign this as well.
This is important to me because I believe students should have have at least the bear minimum of safety and the cracks on the tennis court are not good for any games because students can trip and get hurt
Cause I need to play tennis
This is my best friends sport that she really loves and I want to fix it

This issue is important to me for various reasons. As the ASB President and former Class President it has been frustrating navigating the last few years without our athletic facilities. Why did we move to our new campus without any sporting facilities other than the gym that lacks a foyer, restrooms, and a snack bar? This issue is also important to me because I am a Varsity tennis player who has played the sport since 8th grade. I will not have any home games my senior year. Let’s fix this.
