As many of us know, Webkinz Classic has been around since 2005, and has a devoted and loyal fanbase of many adult players. Some, who have been adopting pets since not long after Webkinz came into existence. 

Over the years however, we change, we grow, and we realize some of our once beloved pets are longer being played with- we simply don't connect with them anymore.

Yet, there are players out there who would give anything to adopt a retired or older classic pet without having to spend a whole lot of money they can't afford. 

With the introduction of Deluxe, and E-store items and points- not mention the fact that most players being adults with families, jobs, rent, mortgages, and many bills of their own; constantly buying new pets in order to meet our collection goals, or having to buy a new pet every year to keep being a full member isn't plausible for a lot of players. 
And the ones who do it anyway, do it out of love and nostalgia. As an adult player since 2007, myself, I understand the desire to keep our childhood game going, despite all the changes. 

Well, what if there was a way for pets to stop collecting dust and get the care they deserve- a way for players to keep collecting (and being a full member,) without always spending money we can't afford to spend?

Introducing the new concept: 

Mrs. Birdies Animal Shelter!!!

A sister location to the Adoption Centre, Mrs. Birdy owns the Animal Shelter for pets needing a new home. 
This new location has created the need for a new job! And with it, we welcome (back) her new assistant, Debbie Dragon! After retiring to travel the world, Debbie decided to return after seeing stray pets in need around the world, and donating her time and kinzcash to humanitarian causes. She felt inspired to bring the same care right back to Webkinz world. She can now be seen caring for pets waiting for their new homes at the Animal Shelter!  Be sure to stop by and welcome her back to Webkinz world!

At the Animal Shelter, each pet is offered by their owner for a price of their choosing- the available options are an amount of Kinzcash you can fully customize, trades for other pets (the ratio must be 1 pet for 1 pet), or trades for items. Similar to the trading system, both parties must accept the Kinzcash, Pet, or Item(s) being offered before the transaction is complete. 

In this version of the concept, NO estore points are involved as it gives EVERYONE a chance to adopt these pets.
