I'm concerned as well of these fees and where they come from and why is done that way. I only lived here for a year and a half, but charges have been going up. I don't see any changes, our building paying for maintenance done on other buildings? How is that fair? Because i don't see anything changed here.

As a freehold homeowner on a privately managed estate in Wales, I was invoiced for maintenance works carried out three years before I owned my property. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of estate accounts and the lack of accountability in how charges are managed. Homeowners should not be held liable for historic costs they were never responsible for. We need stronger regulation & greater financial transparency, to ensure charges are fair accurate and properly allocated

Lack of transparency as to where the money is being spent and unjustified prices increases for a lack of service. I waited over 12 months for an invoice and then two come out once with the expectation that it would need to be paid immediately.

I am someone who only moved into the area a year ago and have been charged these back dated payments for years I did not live in the area. I own another property under firstport and the charges made there are ridiculous for what is given

Along with the points made so far. Their incompetence has cost me during my remortgage. Constantly been given false information and a complete lack of communication

I have lived in my FirstPort property since 2019 and the “service” is non existent and quite frankly a joke. Our property manager constantly changes (we didn’t even have one for months yet we’re still paying for one), constant issues with the state of the bin store where residents have been asking for better security and surveillance for years to prevent non resident fly tipping with no action taken, and in general the service is worse every year yet costs go up.

FirstPort are duping all Windsor Quay residents with increased service charges, bills at short notice from previous years because they have mismanaged accounts and they do not provide any clear transparency between leasehold and freehold charges. Both are facing increased figures and FirstPort have left all the residents with financial worry and uncertainty. We require separate accounts for freeholders and leaseholders. As a freeholder we are not responsible for leasehold charges.

Firstport seem to be inflating costs with no real reasoning or evidence to provide for these figures, our community are suffering as a result

I am unhappy with the financial management of Windsor Quay with late bills for Service Charges and unexpected bills from previous years. There seems to be a lack of value for money with the quality of upkeep of the development questionable. Litter and waste are issues that are of particular concern to me along with lack of transparency or accountability.

Because we are constantly being ripped off by this company. The extra is much more than 50% extra on tope of the charge and this has been increasing exponentially in recent years. When I moved in it was £10 month. Something needs to be done about this company

Having lived on this development for almost thirty years, I’m disappointed with how First Port has allowed so much decline. Despite regular increases in maintenance costs, First Port fails to keep the estate looking and running as it should. Its billing and charges are purposely opaque, and it regularly dreams up additional costs (‘adjustments’) to hit us with.

No transparency and very short notice 40% increase in service charges diabolical this is daylight robbery and shouldn’t be allowed hopefully the law will change to make it better for leaseholders

First Port charged us for service charges for a period before we purchased the property. I had to use a solicitor to evidence that the fees outstanding were paid on completion of the sale. They charged me £500 fine, for not paying the period we didnt owe. I never received the money back or an apology. They caused both stress and financial hardship. The latest fees show they back to old tricks and once again charged us for a period we didnt own the property.
