Concerns about the large volume of people moving in and out of the apts over a short timeframe. Apt living is typically not long term & most apt tenants do not care for, respect or take care of the neighborhood they live in. The visual eyesore apts bring to family neighborhoods and the close proximity to family neighborhoods has a negative impact on property value. Apt complexes next to strip malls or business parks is a better location than next to where innocent kids play.

R4 is not consistent with the area and will be detrimental to traffic safety including our youth who are active. Developers as well as the city always go overboard and maximize projects for profit and taxes to the detriment of existing residents. This will also impact the nearby schools and cause challenges for the attendance and various zones

Lowers our property values. Adds too much traffic on an already congested roads. Adds safety risk of transient people in a stable neighborhood area. We strongly oppose this apartment development. This is poor City planning with no regard to existing neighbors.

The current traffic load on Pflumm and 159th street is terrible. Sitting on a street to get out of my neighborhood has become the new normal. Traffic backed up in all directions at the round about at 159th and Pflumm . It is absolute insanity to put high density housing in the area to add another 400-500 vehicles to what is already a mess

The apartment complex will be in my back yard and people will be able to see directly into my house. I have small children and I am not comfortable with having that many buildings and opportunities for someone to take not just my children but others in our neighborhood.

I’ve lived in The Reserve at Heritage for 25 years. It’s a single family housing neighborhood and 4 story apartment buildings don’t belong right next to our neighborhood as that would affect traffic, noise, light pollution, overcrowding schools, and the peaceful neighborhood we have now.

It appears to me, the "planners" have been busy creating and passing documents that "guide" (possibly provide ‘cover’ for council members ignoring the people standing in front of them) votes to change and approve all these "developments".
Based on what I’ve read, Olathe is probably considered to have TOO MUCH single family residences and not enough mixed housing types plus being combined with nonresidential uses.

I agree with this petition. Additionally, as a person who crosses the roundabout from our neighborhood into Heritage Park I am gravely concerned about the safety. It is already an extremely dangerous crossing, and I have almost been hit several times because people don’t see the lit signs until they are already through them. It is extremely dangerous and someone is going to get badly hurt or killed.

The current roads will not support this traffic. The roundabout at 159th and Pflumm already backs up to the north sometime 1/2 mile at the end of the day.

The proposed development would have a significant impact on the quality of life for residents in the surrounding neighborhoods. Hundreds of additional vehicles would mean increased traffic, congestion, noise, and potential safety concerns. In addition, the construction of seven four-story buildings would dramatically change the character and appearance of the area, replacing the open farmland and unobstructed views that neighboring residents have enjoyed for more than 25 years.
