AI has no place in the horror arts community. When dealing with an art form deeply rooted in human fears, there is no place for AI slop. Stop harming real, living, breathing artists and creators by allowing peddlers of imagination-less rot to divert their business. If you want money in YOUR pockets, start putting money in the pockets of REAL people creating REAL goods and services. Do not let Midsummer Scream move to a better venue in 2027 while carrying the cancerous rot of AI.

As a content creator I know the ins and outs of what it takes to create something that evokes a human reaction be it curiosity or fear. That human touch in art like a video, poster, or other work is what truly connects with people. Having a bunch of C-omputer R-endered A-rtificial P-ictures at MSS really undermines what the entire event and industry is about and has no place in this event.
