I have noticed that in King Street where we live, it has got busier and some cars are driving far too fast.
We have also seen heavy vehicles using the street as a 'rat run' when there are delays on surrounding roads

Agree with comments on increased traffic on King. The intersections at both ends are a nightmare. Not sure if opening up other streets will help but it should all be assessed for better traffic flow.

There needs to be greater balance for traffic management in the district. Minimising high pressure congestion on streets that aren’t one way and changing driver behaviour.

We have lived on King St for 24 years.
The traffic is extremely busy on King St and it is very difficult to reverse out of our driveway .
One of our cars has been struck multiple times losing the side mirror and also significant damage to the panels on the car.
We agree with the petition that Glyde, George and King Streets bear excessive burden of the traffic.
There is no longer any reason to continue to keep Sewell and Hubble St closed to two way traffic and they should be unblocked.

My house is in King St where I lived for 24 years and the change in traffic and driver behaviour in recent years is concerning and has significantly changed the feel of this once safe street.

As a resident, we support this petition to ensure kids remain safe. King St is becoming quite unsafe, especially around the intersections of George, Marmion and St Peter’s Rd’s. Please consider opening up these areas.

King St has unfairly borne more than its fair share of traffic for far too long. It’s time to even the load. We have witnessed, or heard of many traffic incidents in King St during our time there.

In the short time we have lived in King Street, I have witnessed 4 x car accidents. Cars parked along the street are often side swiped. I’d personally like to see traffic/vehicles pushed towards Marmion Street to access into Plympton, or, the opening of Sewell and Hubble to take some of the pressure off King Street. There will be a pedestrian accident if this issues isn’t addressed. The current volume of traffic is dangerous.

We live on king and with the increase in traffic it impacted safety for the kids to cross the road.

With an increase in traffic volume and speed on Glyde, not to mention mirror damage and some near misses, I think it's time for another approach and share the traffic distribution! Two-way Hubble & Sewell please!

With the new complex getting built between Glyde Street and Canning Highway there is going be even more traffic so I totally agree with this petition.

Generally there is room to improve traffic flow in Plympton Ward and most of the changes are likely to be pretty straight forward - so would be good to take a look at

Traffic needs to be better managed. The proposals are good common sense solutions.
To reduce traffic in King St
