The lack of fields eliminates the development any child who wants to practice or play soccer, and the way soccer is growing rapidly now we are getting behind these other cities who have more fields then us and better development for kids

Soccer players in our community deserve a full sized field to practice on just as much as our other sports. Athens soccer is one of the better sports by a long shot and it’s due to Cotton town players and the other players in our community being allowed to practice on the field at the Clinton Street school location.

The city of Athens currently has 0 full size soccer fields (for ages 12 & up) to play 11v11 matches, outside of school facilities which are not accessible for legitimate liability reasons.
I would love to see this for our community!
