We, the undersigned Members of Ladies Circle Botswana Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectfully submit this petition requesting that the Ladies Circle Botswana Golf Day be formally adopted and retained as an official national flagship fundraising event on the Ladies Circle Botswana calendar.

The inaugural Ladies Circle Botswana Golf Day, held during the 2025/2026 Circle year, exceeded expectations and demonstrated the immense potential of the event to become one of the organisation's premier fundraising and public engagement initiatives. The event not only strengthened the Ladies Circle Botswana brand but also created a unique platform for corporate engagement, fellowship, and sustainable fundraising.

The success of the event is reflected in the following achievements:

·       Raised approximately P 100,000.00 in sponsorships and fundraising proceeds.

·       Secured the participation of over 90 golfers.

·       Attracted support from Sandfire, BIC and HSNV corporate sponsors and partners.

·       Increased Ladies Circle Botswana's visibility through extensive media and social media coverage on BTV and print media.

·       Created valuable networking opportunities between members, sponsors, and the wider community.

·       Generated funds that directly supported Ladies Circle Botswana's charitable projects and community impact that allowed us to make a sizeable donation to Lorato House Rescue Center.

Beyond the financial success, the Golf Day introduced Ladies Circle Botswana to new corporate partners and potential supporters who may not have previously engaged with the organisation. It showcased Ladies Circle Botswana as a professional, organised, and impactful service organisation capable of delivering events of a high standard.

Importantly, the event has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from members across all four circles. There is a strong and widely shared view within the membership that discontinuing such a successful initiative would represent a missed opportunity for the organisation.

As an organisation committed to service, growth, and sustainability, Ladies Circle Botswana should seek to build upon successful initiatives rather than allow them to lapse after a single year. Flagship events are not created overnight, they evolve through consistency, refinement, and continued support. The Golf Day has already laid a strong foundation, and with annual implementation, it has the potential to become one of Botswana's most anticipated charity golf events while providing a sustainable source of funding for national and local charitable projects.

For these reasons, we respectfully request that the National Board:

·       Officially recognise the Ladies Circle Botswana Golf Day as a National Flagship Fundraising Event.

·       Include the event as a permanent fixture on the annual Ladies Circle Botswana calendar.

·       Establish a framework that allows each host circle, or an appointed national organising committee, to continue building and improving the event annually while maintaining the Ladies Circle Botswana brand and standards.

We firmly believe that preserving this event aligns with Ladies Circle Botswana's strategic objectives of increasing visibility, strengthening corporate partnerships, enhancing member engagement, and creating sustainable fundraising opportunities for the benefit of our communities.

We therefore urge the National Board to give this petition favourable consideration and to support the continuation of the Ladies Circle Botswana Golf Day as a flagship event for many years to come.
