A toxic working environment has become increasingly normalised within the workplace, negatively affecting the wellbeing, morale, and overall productivity of many employees. What should be a safe, respectful, and supportive working environment has instead become a source of ongoing stress, anxiety, frustration, and emotional exhaustion for many members of staff.
The current working environment has become unbearable for many employees. Concerns regarding workplace conduct, communication, management practices, lack of support, and the treatment of employees have, in many instances, contributed to an atmosphere where individuals feel undervalued, unheard, and uncomfortable raising legitimate concerns.
The continued normalisation of these conditions is having a serious impact on employees' mental and emotional wellbeing. Employees should not have to endure an environment that causes persistent distress or feel that they must remain silent in order to protect their employment or avoid negative consequences.
We believe that every employee has the right to work in an environment that is respectful, professional, inclusive, and free from intimidation, hostility, harassment, bullying, or any form of inappropriate conduct.
We therefore call upon management and the relevant authorities to urgently acknowledge these concerns and take meaningful steps to address the underlying issues. This should include listening to employees' concerns, investigating reported incidents fairly and confidentially, holding individuals accountable for inappropriate behaviour, improving communication, and implementing measures that promote a healthier and more supportive workplace culture.
This petition is intended to highlight the collective concern of employees and to request immediate and constructive action. We believe that addressing these issues is essential not only for the wellbeing and dignity of employees, but also for creating a productive, respectful, and sustainable working environment for everyone.
We respectfully request that these concerns be taken seriously and that appropriate action be taken without retaliation against employees who speak up.
We need a healthy environment
