Keep it zoned for recreation, it has the best views in marysville and people use it all the time, absolutely no need to turn that into a factory,, just find some other spot!

As someone who walks here all the time and owns property directly below I belive this land should zoned for Recreation. I am not against a great business idea but just not in this location!

Great business but not in this spot. This land should be used as a buffer between residential and industrial. The Volksmarch trail is one of the best trails in Kimberley! Real Estate is hot and that is not because of the "good job" that is because of the life style and beauty. Let's push for use of land on the other side of the road which makes sense for development and more development. Maybe even option to hook into the Solar Farm.

In spite of the Mayor’s enthusiastic advocacy, there are a lot of unanswered questions. A few major issues that have yet to be addressed: Why the rush? How much due diligence has been done examining the promises of business success and jobs? Has the land been offered by the Mayor before due process and at what price? How much will taxpayers have to pay to provide water, sewer, electrical, road access, etc. and has a detailed cost/benefit analysis been done?

This piece of land is such a gem. I bring visitors here all the time to enjoy the beautiful trails and views. Don't ruin it with industry. Businesses could find other land in the area for their development

I grew up in marysville and this is one of the best places to explore and should stay as a recreational trail and area, there are tons of other areas that are better for business and industrial use.

Please do youre research people, please. Reading some of these comments is awful. So much misinformation. No one is touching rails to trails. There are reasons why this is a good location. If you don't support it then that is your absolute right but do the research. At least know what youre fighting against. Both sides need to learn what is actually happening and work toward a solution. Be part of the solution, not the problem.

I live parttime in Marysville. I am not against industrial companies moving to Kimberley and area and creating local jobs. Why has the city administration previously planned an industrial park thereby alleviating this problem?Marysville Bench is not the place for this to happen. It is a recreational area.

As a resident of Kimberley/Marysville, it would be a real shame to see the rails to trails system taken out to make way for industrialization. Zoning this as a rec site would be great

Prime view land is being tied up around the province. The sirencall of new business over and over has proven hollow.
What business plan has been presented that offers any guarantee of employment and revenue stream. If it's that good a business it will do well in a variety of locations. You do not need to be on a view lot to run a viable business.
This is a land grab plain and simple.
Hopefully you will look at the full economics, probability of success and the downside of losing use of this property for the many tax paying residents which support your community and city council.

Why is this the "Only parcel of land in it's entirety that will work" for this ONE BUSINESS??? And the taxpayer's will foot the bill for services! Sounds suspicious to us. Don't even know yet what kind of "Environmentally friendly waste" this company may accidentally spill. I grew up in Marysville and spent my childhood on the "Benchlands".

I've lived in Marysville all my life and have seen lots of changes, but having green space is So important for everyone to enjoy.We have a
had an industry here above Marysville for a whole lot of years.We have all worked at that industry and families been raised.This piece of land that the Mayor wants for industrial use and probably down the road residential as the views are awesome, should be left not only for the people to enjoy but also for the numerous wildlife that WE LOVE TO SEE , by the way. Use the land for industry that's already been there for years and years and is all set up with power, water& sewer and offices and shops all updated and ready to go.We have lived with enough emissions of industry in Marysville , leave this piece of land alone because we as taxpayers have a right to state how and what should be designated and our health and wellness is one thing that Kimberley is always striving for.Put it elsewhere how about Meadowbrook, there's lots of space out there for this kind of industry.We have enough to deal with , with the wood smoke here, and it's getting terrible add some industries above us, our property values go down and our taxes go up.We have to wait longer than ever getting snow removal in Marysville and out streets will go for days without gravel and sheer ice, you can't even walk them. SO we go up to the Benchland trails and the Volksmarch trails because at least you can walk there.I hope that something good comes of this and we don't have stand by and have such a stupid idea of industrial business's pit in above our homes.

Why risk this unique and beautiful eco system when other options clearly make more sense. Be brave Mr. Mayor, and stand-up for the future. Because that's what needs you most.

We really need to be careful to preserve the recreational aspects of our city that are attracting so many new residents. Kimberley seems to be creating an image of eco-friendliness, clean living and forward-thinking development. Let's keep moving in this direction!
