The Great Canadian Grilling Co. in the MacCorry Caf has already made steps in sustainable business by offering local, organic, and traceable food. Let us help them make another step in the green direction by asking them to switch to plant-based "plastics" and implementing compost sites both back-of-house and within the immediate eating area. Queen's University is constantly striving to become more and more sustainable. The Tea Room in Beamish-Munro Hall has already set an example for food industries to have a zero-consumer-waste policy, composting almost 100% of waste as well as providing biodegradable packaging. If the Great Canadian Grilling Co. is also a sustainable food industry, why not have them do the same? This petition will be printed off and brought to a meeting with the GM and Sous-Chef of the Great Canadian Grilling Co. Please add your signature below to support this effort in continuing the Queen's University green movement.
