This school needs either a crossing or a lolly pop lady as its a very busy road due to.heavy traffic plus being used as a cut through from Portland Road, the 2 bridges Black Horse & Woodside alway being closed for reasons only the council know. Therefore i think the council should rethink about this schools request or do they want blood on they hands after a serious accident occures.

Childs safety should be first and this should be reinstated. Money should never dictate safety!

It would be a huge support for both children and parents to have a lollipop lady. Presently it is very challenging trying to cross in front of the gate as drivers do not stop for parents to cross with children.
We would love for this position to be filled as soon as possible.

I think it is so important that safety measures are put in place on Birchanger Road, either a lollipop lady or zebra crossing. It is a busy road and very few observe the 20mph limit during school time. I have seen some near misses outside the school and I'm very concerned for the safety of our children. Please don't wait for an accident to happen!

Zebra crossing outside St Thomas Becket Primary school urgently need a lollipop lady as its very busy and dangerous for both children and adult especially during rush hours and children are sometimes nearly hit by cars and find it very difficult to cross as some cars will not wait for children to cross.

This road is very busy and it's difficult to get in or out of school grounds, drivers very often ignoring parents with children trying to cross the street. Zebra crossing would be essential - if not then at least patrol officer.

I believe the zebra crossing is very necessary. Its too dangerous and I'm very familiar with that street.

Birchanger Road is a busy road and not all drivers respect speed limits or seem aware of children. Twice we had to stop on the crossing and walk back because a driver did not give us priority when we had already started our crossing by the time the car reached the area.

We walk everyday to school , my kids in the last 500 meters have to cross the road 3 times to reach the school and even though the pedestrian islands on the main roads, crossing in the morning is very stressfull cos cars do not stop. Kids safety should be a priority.

Too often we wait for something to happen to children before action is taken furthermore a need has previously been identified and should be acted on.
