Despite the cost, this is essential to protect the safety of our children. What is a few white lines and a light or two if it saves the lives?

Very heavy with traffic the road definitely needs a safe crossing point.

Please listen. The recent housing developments have brought so many new people in our community that are not aware children have historically crossed here and anticipate cars to slow and stop. We do not want a tradgedy. Young lives should be valued above cost savings and efficiencies.

Near miss today, One of many near misses with a car and children trying to cross safely. A safe crossing for children going to school is a must.

Safety of the children always comes 1st and cost should never be taken into effect

I have 4 children that walk to school and would benefit from the safety of a zebra crossing!

I strongly believe this needs to be done before there's an awful accident.

This is a 'must' have crossing. Years ago my own mother was knocked down by a car, breaking her leg in this very same situation taking me to school. Let's not wait until it is really serious. As a parent at Farmors the lack of crossing, poor disability because of parked cars and lots of hyperactive children really concerns me.

The crossing point is really dangerous not all drivers stop especially the coach drivers. The speed limit also needs to be reduced.

It's an accident waiting to happen and I am genuinely concerned that my child has to cross the road when there is no traffic calming or crossing

This morning whilst driving to Fairford school, I witnessed a teenage school girl inches away from being knocked down by a car at the crossing point on Leafield Road. It completely shook me up. I spoke to the other driver - she was shocked and apologetic but had never been down the road before and didn't know it was a crossing. On my way home (back towards Fairford) I had to admit she was right - there are no signs warning that it is a crossing. I've been told this sadly happens all the time. We need a zebra crossing!

This is Long overdue!. Over the years there has been near misses, road rage, thoughtless parking, police presence to calm the havoc..something needs to be done for the safety of children crossing safely.

New double size reception class. Large number of children crossing road to school at this point in the road. Huge recent increase in population of Fairford.

Please listen to the public. Don't let this be a case of taking action only after an accident has occurred.
