Absolutely support this. My son attends Farmors and a safe crossing is a must.

A safe crossing is required for safety of the children.

i had a very close call, on monday when picking my grandchildren up, cars parked all the way along the road, a child came out and crossed the road behind a parked 4x4 if i had not acted, i hate to think of what would of happened, i rang the school to this day i have not heard back from them, shame on the school, they should be doing more, do you not think that the safety of the pupils come first, rather than garden plans, raising funds for things that do not matter, NOW IM GOING TO UPSET YOU ALL,, ALL THAT PARK ALONG THAT ROAD, THINK WHAT IF THAT WAS MY CHILD, HOW WOULD YOU COPE WITH THE GUILT YOU COULD OF STOPPED IT, THINK BEFORE YOU PARK,....

We have had crossing people in the past , not enough pay to get someone to take it on

Much needed, too risky. If council money can be wasted on metal bars at the park it can be invested in a zebra crossing at school

It is a fast road for young people to be crossing without traffic lights or a zebra crossing. I would like our young people to be safe walking to and from school.

It is so dangerous trying to cross that part of the road especially when taking children to school. Something needs to be done before anyone gets hurts.

Is it OK to risk a child's life over? Do we have to wait until someone is hurt or killed for something to be put in place to keep our children safe on their way to school? Makes no sense !!

Leafield road is extremely busy during school drop off times and there needs to be a safe crossing for the children. At the moment, it is far too dangerous!

I have been going up to school with my kids for 10 years now and I can't reiterate enough the need for a safe crossing at Leafield Road. I have witnessed countless incidents of near misses and road rage!! It is such a dangerous spot and one day there WILL be a serious accident there. The schools seem unable to improve the situation e.g. Lolly pop person was never replaced. Drivers who are not regular users of Leafield road do not know that it is an unofficial crossing. I feel the community should now act to change the situation before it's too late.

Children need independence and a safe route to school. It might be a quiet town but they still deserve a safe way to cross the road. Please don't let someone have to get hurt before the crossing happens
