As the Advocacy and Awareness Commissioner for Student Senate under the previous administration, I was able to use my role to expand the conversations around topics such as mental health awareness and sexual violence awareness and those struggling with body image issues. I helped to write the mental health resolution that is currently being held up by administration as well. As a Senator, I also was elected to the Finacial Advisory Board, where I gained insight into what RSO's use/need funding for.

As a member of athletics, at IWU, I understand how challenging it is to balance time at an institution that encourages so many people do more things such as being a student athlete. As a student athlete, I have been elected to the team's leadership council, and have taken an active role in the TD group (Titan Diversity). I have been a TOL leader, and was asked to lead interviews for TOL's for the following year. I work in the dean of students office as an intern, and I am a member of FCA.

In my pursuit to becoming Student Senate President, I envision a united campus that is Titan strong. A campus that takes pride in IWU, a campus that supports fellow Titans through more than a repost or a like. It is the people that make this campus, this community so unique, and as president I want to highlight all of this through expanding the reach RSO's have as well as increasing engagement in Senate sponsored events as well as those put on yearly by both administration and RSO's. I want to bring organization and stability to a school that too often seems disconnected and unresponsive to what students want and need.
