There is a glut of apartments approved over the last year, many of which are not yet even occupied. With this proposal, the ratio of owner units to rental units approved in this area will be more than 10 rentals for every owner unit, not in keeping with the intend of a mixed use master plan. In addition, the potential damage to the Chattachoochee, could be irreparable, as the trees protecting the river from excessive runoff will be gone and the damage will be done.

I am SO disheartened by this proposal. Haven't the money hungry developers already ruined our county enough? First, SunTrust Park was shoved down our throats. Just what we need...more concrete instead of trees. It hurts me to see so many beautiful green areas destroyed to make way for more apartments. Please do not do this!

I strongly oppose to Z-47. The Board of Commissioners were wrong in giving this the ok. I have living in this area for the past 30 plus years and this will bring in even more traffic to an already overcrowded area and this will also destroy fragile trees and plants that Cobb County so desparetely needs.
We do not need more rentals and condos. Stop building and make this a nice park where one can enjoy the great outdoors to bring communities together. Oh, I forgot, parks will not put money into our Commissioners' pockets. Please, Board of Commissioners, do the right thing and stop this now.

With all of the new residental development in the area, maybe the landlord could work to develop an equitable rent scheme that would allow tenants to stay in business and the landlord to achieve a revenue stream

We live and work in the area, live at Horizon, and are very disappointed in this proposal. This area was developed to be very green. The traffic on Powers Ferry is quite heavy already and we've already got a new heavy density complex being finished.

Too much destruction of the land and old growth trees. Not to mention adding to already congested traffic. And it's not like the housing will even be affordable.

The "City of Trees" is being rapidly deforested. Help put an end to this.

I couldn't agree more.
Cobb Co. can't generate reliable, predictable income on an apartment glut.
The zoning commission is Wrong to have approved this application.

The Powers Ferry Corridor is over developed with multi-family units. The proposed Z-47 development is NOT the best use for this property. It will add more traffic to already congested roads. We don't need another low-quality built Broadstone.

Powers Ferry Road, the gateway to Cobb County, deserves common sense land use planning.

The thing I like most about living at Horizon is the lush vegetation that surrounds my home; it brings me peace and happiness. I oppose this plan.
