Hi All!, Sydney is facing the major problem of overdevelopment with several rapid proposals of sky-rise buildings in the Inner-west to cater for the increasing population. This is leading to drastic congestion of roadways and increasing population density, which, without control is causing school's to reach capacity, a lack of efficient infrastructure, environmental and noise pollution. The aim of this petition therefore, (is not only for it to be debated in Youth Parliament!) is to bring to the government's attention to the detrimental long term effects of urban consolidation and to divert its funding to the outer suburbs of Sydney where they can better health and education facilities, business districts and efficient transport systems. This, therefore encourages a better quality of life and sustainable living for Sydney's population where the urban areas are granted more open space and attention is bought to largely neglected outer suburbs. Please follow the link and sign the peition if you support environmental sustainability and a better quality of life for Sydney's population!
