The pupils, parents and staff have already been consulted and the preferred outcome was blazers, whether we like that or not. Raising this petition shows complete disrespect to this choice. It shows a lack of respect to the views of fellow classmates and parents, but mostly a total disrespect to the school. Not a nice trait to be showing our children. The decision AFTER consultation has been made let’s support the school and get on with it! I know these comments will be deleted like the others again, respect the opinions of others!

Students should have more say in what they have to wear not a online poll which doesn't seem to ring true.

Blazers/suits are dated, uncomfortable, extremely expensive and impractical to clean. There is nothing wrong with the current uniform if it is adhered to correctly. The focus should be the correct discipline to enforce this.

Sensible polite comments will remain on the page. These are rude and not an appropriate way for your students to learn about the democratic process. I have a very strong suspicion of who this is based on discussions today and comments posted this eve but as you feel the need to hide behind anonymity. I am supporting my children as I supports the school, if there is not support for the petition people won’t sign. Please do not approach me personally for support in the future.

Blazers too cumbersome when wearing a coat on top when it's wet. Plus if forced to wear it all day every day, not terribly comfortable on top of a jumper too: children will get too hot and bothered, they should at least have the option to remove it if desired during class time. Plus a very costly extra item with the rest of the uniform costing more from the suppliers than if sourced independently. Shirt, tie, and pullover definitely good as smarter than uniform currently being worn, but think blazers are a step too far.

I think that there should be no change what so ever because the teachers got a vote even though they aren't the ones that have to wear it we do and if we have a set uniform so should they
I don’t support blazers at all. Shirt, tie & jumper would be better option.

A suit style uniform in not practical and unnecessarily costly, especially if restricted to specific suppliers. Young people at this school have long walk and/or bus ride to school in all weather. A suit uniform, proper coat in bad weather, school bags, lunch and pe kits will not make for a happy commute! Let them be comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer and not restricted by outdated and unnecessary uniform choices. Modern workplaces are less strict on formal dress than they once were too! Raise the profile of the school by focusing attention on improving academic results and behavior, after all these are the key issues that the community look for in their schools.

Blazer? Fabulous. Well done Greenhill, I’m sure they’ll look really smart, unlike now.
