Yr 13 should be able to wear mufti as they have chosen to stay for their last year of school with orewa college and deserve to be rewarded with mufti

Ask us year 13s about the benefits we feel from it! Not to mention preparing to dress more work-ready (even if we don't always dress formally) for instance I always used to wear crop tops and short shorts, tacky clothes that I stopped wearing due to dressing respectably for school. And yes it does set us apart a bit. It gives a feeling of independence and of course makes our last year that much more cosy and bearable

Yr13 should have the right to wear mufti as its their last year of college and they didnt have to stay till yr13 if they didnt want to but they have chosen to, so they should at least get the chance to wear mufti for the last year.

Being able to wear mufti made my final and most important year at Orewa college more comfortable, and therefore I have concentrated better in class and have obtained the best grades than I have in previous years. Getting rid of mufti would be a major mistake.

Everyine i know has been looking forward to year 13 mufti since i started at orewa college! Year 13s are respected by students and easily identified (as besides teachers, they are the only ones in mufti) so i believe for the sake of parents and their money that we shouldnt have to wear uniform in year 13!!!

Im glad someone decided to do something about this. I'm in full support of mufti for year 13s its definitely something we deserve as seniors of the school.

I support everything about this petition and vote you reinvoke our rights too wear mufti not for selfless reasons but for a reward for completing all the previous years, i feel it is unjust to take away this reward as we too have completed the years leading upto year 13. If you do return the rights of mufti too us we would have a much better attitude towards the school and would not feel saddened as the FIRST year 13 students to have mufti revoked for no specific reason besides wanting us to wear uniform. Manaki orewa chahoo.
