I support the comeback of the BC3A breath controller; I also think a BC device that plugs directly to the 5-pin MIDI IN would be even more useful (most modern keyboards do not have the BC minijack input!)

MRT Audio sells a similar device which I have used and it works pretty well. But it is not an exact replacement for BC3a. I cannot find the Yamaha breath controller anywhere and would definitely purchase one if I could. There are so many possibilities that could be achieved with Yamaha.

It was also possible to connect BC directly on a DX7.

The breath controller is an essentiel device to provide more expression to a synthesizer. As a keyboard and saxophone player, it’s the real link between the two instruments for me. Like the Yamaha WX and Akai EWI.

Of all the synths I own, the Yamaha EX5 is my favorite and I've been scrounging around for what seems like forever trying to find a BC3 or 3A Breath Controller.

Dear yamaha friends, my SY99 is still after 25 years the best synth I ever had but without the bc-wind controller it's missing a limb. Please make it again.
