WWC and Chamber Opposition of New Recycling & Transfer Station in Woodinville

Seems that this could easily negatively affect the local small businesses, perhaps especially the breweries and wineries. Scent is a large part of the beer and wine experience, and if the air is filled with the scent of trash, it affects the experience, which would almost undoubtedly lead to loss of revenue for these businesses.

NO Woodinville transfer station or dump!!

Don’t ruin whats left of the nature in Woodinville with a garbage dump when there are two already in nearby cities. This will create additional traffic issues in an already congested area and there is already a recycling processing facility where there could be drop off bins located in this area without further problems.

The nearby intersections are already congested, and adding trucks and cars hauling waste and recycling would be a nightmare. Woodinville is a tourist destination, not an industrial area.

We wholeheartedly oppose this transfer station to Woodinville. Keep in Houghton.

We don't need another eyesore and traffic jam like this in the city.

Wo don’t need this right in the middle of the Wine District Woodinville’s main source of tourism

I am fully against placing recycle dump in Woodinville area, this is a tourist attraction for Washington wineries.

This is the exact opposite of what Woodinville has been doing for decades. The goal of bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars in income from tourism to the Puget Sound has been accomplished for decades. Every study pretends that hundreds of extra vehicles per day will not have an impact. This is shortsighted at best.

I agree with the statements in the petition. I believe the most negative impact would be the traffic which is already congested on the Woodinville Redmond road.

Please keep Woodinville the beautiful town it is.

Please reconsider what this would do to our tourism

Please think about the unintended consequences of placing a transfer station in this location. Fewer business dollars (tourist, and other businesses) means less revenue to tax means less taxes. Plus the middle school amd high school across the street will impact the children attending there.

For many of the reasons already stated siting a dump in the proposed area is a horrible idea. It seems that Woodinville has become a sort of “dumping ground” for bad ideas for a small city: Brightwater, located on an earthquake fault AND not needed. Additionally we already have a recycling dump station. How many garbage dump facilities is one small city obligated to have. Who is getting paid off to choose these sites?!

NO to the Woodinville location!

The site at 16111 Woodinville-Redmond Rd is totally unacceptable. Across the street from the school, absolutely unnecessary.
