Why does King County want to build a garbage/recydling transfer station so close to the Woodinville tourist district with a long standing business on site? The narrow Woodinville-Redmond road is already overloaded. Wouldn't it be more suitable and reasonable to find a site further away in a rural area that's for sale? Driving a few more miles to a transfer station seems reasonable.

Will have huge negative effects to the area with a school across the street and increased in traffic. Let alone forcing a business to relocate that has no plans on moving and has been at the location for over 25 years.

The traffic challenges alone would be difficult to justify, let alone the negative aesthetic impact to the area. I have to believe there is a cheaper location with a better logistical solution that isn't adjacent to a tourist area.

This will directly effect any growth in the tourism industry. Woodinville already took on Brightwater and these types of operations should be spread out.

Just imagining the traffic flow to and from the recycle station is enough to rule this site out! Trucks would have to pass through neighborhoods, passed schools, or the already overflowing downtown Woodinville.

This is very shortsighted by King Co. It's unclear who they hired to put together the list of potential locations but it is obvious they spent no time scouting them for potential impacts to the area. If anything they did a drive-by on a weekday around 1pm.

The area designated for the possible transfer station is not easily accessible by any freeways or the majority of east side population and will cause additional traffic to an already clogged area.

This is a ridiculous place for a transfer station. Right next to a school and all the wineries. You’d had to be mad to put it in Woodinville

Please keep the transfer station in Kirkland. Woodinville wine country is a destination place and it is important to the city, the wine industry, and tourism to keep this area rural and inviting.

I believe the site proposed in Woodinville will be a determent to the continued growth of the Woodinville area. Woodinville has established itself as a world class wine tasting area and had become a destination spot for many. The site proposed would hamper further development of the potential new business that could support the wine industry such as Lodging or restaurants
