WWC and Chamber Opposition of New Recycling & Transfer Station in Woodinville

Nononono!

Opposed to creating transfer station in Woodinville. This is a prestigious community of wine producers and a hub for visitors. Creation of a transfer station with coming and going of garbage trucks would have a negative effect for the whole area.

Keep Woodinville Woodinville.

We have already been “Blessed” with the wastewater treatment facility. We are already doing our part for the county. That particular road has experienced regular traffic delays at rush hour already and many businesses, not to mention the Chrysalis school, would be adversely affected by this as the proposed site. Several wineries would also be adversely affected which would potentially drive down revenue and taxes. Woodinville is already doing its part for the county. Pick someplace else.

It seems reasonable to expand the current facility in Kirkland rather than negatively impact an area heavy with tourism. The Woodinville location would result in a business of over 100 people needing to relocate.

This will be devastating to the small city of Woodinville. It will have a huge negative impact on tourism which we have worked very hard to create. There is a school in the area. We have a pristine valley and need it to stay like that. This area cannot accommodate the number of garbage trucks and associated semi trucks hauling garbage we do not have the roads to accommodate this.. The roads are too narrow and these large trucks will pose a huge danger to the residents and tourists.

Absolutely against transfer station in Woodinville that will have a huge negative impact on businesses, schools and our neighborhood.

We cannot afford more traffic and potentially noxious odors through the tourist areas.

As a business owner, and a building owner of 12 tenants in the city of Woodinville. I believe that this is not a good location for a transfer station. I recognize the need, but the site proposed is not the right one based on its location.

Woodinville does not need additional traffic that the transfer station would bring. Plus, the proposed location is near a beautiful agricultural area that needs to be protected! Please find an alternative.

Agree with other comments - there has to be a better more appropriate location than right in the middle of the winery tourist area!

Surely there is a better location within Woodinville to place a transfer station. All the reasons noted clearly explain why a two lane road in the tourist district is a poor choice.

I wholeheartedly oppose a transfer station within a tourist district and ball park/field in Woodinville. It would directly impact tourism and recreation all activities.

There's got to be much better places to put a transfer station!
