WWC and Chamber Opposition of New Recycling & Transfer Station in Woodinville

Woodinville-Redmond Rd is only two lanes there with minimal shoulder, terrible traffic much of the day, no center turn lane an no plans in place or proposed to change any of that. Adding large trucks and more traffic seems like an awful idea to me.

Insane location with really bad access to the freeway.

Not in Woodinville.

We do not want the transfer station in woodinville

The site is located in an area that will negatively impact the local business.

What a terrible location.

Say no to this proposed project.

Not a good idea so close to the tourist section of Woodinville

Google maps indicates routes for Brickyard road from I-405. We cannot keep speeders from using Brickyard Road today so we should not be enticing more people to use this residential roadway. Our street is on a blind curve adjacent to Brickyard Road and we are nearly t-boned by speeders on this street each day! That is why the speed limit is set to 25 and we have speed flashing signs. It is a residential street and people who want to use Brickyard road to get to the freeway couldn't care less. They feel that they're driving on an arterial and 25 just seems to slow for them.

I have too much info to write here as to why I think the Woodinville location is not the right location for this transfer station. Safety of our very young children, and disabled children as well as retirement village area with people using walkers and in wheelchairs, in our community who cross the already busy street to go to the park and school are at the top of my list. Cars go flying up and down our street and traffic from trucks and buses already make this a loud and unsafe area and we do not need anymore traffic coming through our neighborhood. There are not any safety mitigation’s from Bothell/Woodinville to slow the speed of cars nor is there police presence to ticket those drivers. There have been too many close calls of kids almost being hit while trying to cross the street here. There are a number of Latino owned small businesses/shops on the street where this dump will go in - including a coffee shop, restaurant, and little convenient store. Please respect these minority owned businesses and do not put a dump by them as this would definitely kill their business. These are frequented businesses that would suffer and most likely close as no one wants to eat dinner outside with garbage trucks driving by hauling trash all day. I have more to say but these are the top 2 points I want to share at this time.

Traffic at the Woodinville site already comes to a standstill with the local commutes at both ends of the day.

Add 100 trucks a day to an already outdated roads and terrible intersections, the intersection at the train trestle will be gridlocked 10 hours a day.

This would create too much traffic in our area, where we have limited options to get to woodinville from Bothell area and Kirkland. Also the noise and traffic on Brickyard would increase and be dangerous

No right for Woodinville.

This site makes no sense....from any perspective.

Woodinville roads are already strained beyond their capacity. The infrastructure in Woodinvolle can not support the addition of this transfer station. Lastly, the identity of Woodinville is wine tourism. The transfer station will irreparably harm this reputation.

This is a horrible location for proposed site!

Please find another site that does not have so many significant & negative impsct to businesses, the environment & traffic.

The transfer station should just remain exactly where it is currently. The disruption and expenses of of trying to have it where the warehouse sits is totally unnecessary.

I think transfer station should be outside of any city.
