WWC and Chamber Opposition of New Recycling & Transfer Station in Woodinville

Put it in a community that does not have public assets yet like Clyde Hill or Western Bellevue. Woodinville already has “Brightwater”

We should not be putting a transfer station on this road. It does not have convenient access from a freeway and would be located directly across the street from a school. Keep this project out of Woodinville. We already have a recycling facility.

A less populated site or the existing trash transfer station in Kirkland should be developed instead.

For all the reasons listed on the petition, the Woodinville site is the wrong location for a trash transfer station.

Cyclist and motorized traffic alike will be affected by the change in traffic patterns on an already busy road. That area Woodinville is developing into something special and a transfer station will prevent further improvements to the area for business and amenities alike.

I strongly oppose a transfer station at this location for the reasons stated by the Chamber. I think it will destroy the peace and beauty of Woodinville, negatively impact businesses, tourism, and most likely cause area home prices to plummet. The increased traffic and large trucks will put pedestrians and bicyclists who regularly walk and ride on 202 in great harm. Please say NO to this transfer station!

Please do not put the recycle transfer station blow our community. This would be a disaster to our peace.

I concur with the Woodinville chamber comments.

Why displace an existing business? Traffic there is already terrible, even on weekends.

I (& my family) opposed to the new transfer station due to the close proximity to the beautiful wine district (which will be irrevocably damaged) & the negative impact to the neighborhood.

Please work within the Kirkland Houton area, Do not bring new traffic through the already updated and yet still congested intersection near the Woodinville site being considered

This is crazy to kill the wine district in Woodinville, this would be seriously detrimental to not only wineries but the foot based traffic enjoying what Woodinville is trying to create. STOP please!

This is home to 140 Hawthorne residents. Also a school across the site your considering. This location has many wineries. Also, many bikers ride this road.

Please do not grant the station in woodinville.

It is hard to imagine who on earth in King County government recommended that a transfer station be built within the nation’s second largest wine region - Woodinville. Crazy!!!
