I believe b allowing these students the opportunity to participate in public school sports. I feel its not only a benefit for the students yet also the School. By gaining some outstanding athletes for their programs. Thank you for your time and consideration on this bill.

My son loves football. He will be too old to play peewee football this year, it would be great if he could play with his friends.

I home school two very active young boys, 8 and 9, who have played sports since they were 4 1/2 years old. They are passionate about not only their studies but those sports. To ask them to give those sports up because they are homeschooled is a very bad idea, especially since we pay our school taxes. Taxes aside, it is just plain wrong. When other states have made adjustments and show that it works, it is time West Virgina steps up to the plate and joins the other states that are thriving in this area and have stepped into this century.

All students in the state of WV, including home schooled and in private schools should be allowed to participate in public school athletics and activities.

All children should be included. The only justification for excluding home schooled children is if their parents are exempted from paying the public school portion of property taxes.

Dear Honorable Senator: I am writing to ask your support of Senate Bill 105. Please help this bill move out of the education committee and into passage for this legislative session. Senate Bill 105 has been introduced to allow home schooled students and private schooled students to participate in extra-curricular activities including athletics at public secondary schools serving the attendance zone in which the student lives. At least 30 other states currently have laws in place providing opportunities for similar student participation. I feel the students of West Virginia should be given equal opportunity to play sports and be involved in extra-curricular activities.

Please allow ALL students to play sports. Doesn't matter if public, private or homeschool students.

I have had numerous incredibly talented homeschooled friends miss out on opportunities to showcase their abilities. This is a perfect idea to remedy this.
