I was homeschooled through high school, and remember that it was such a struggle to find sports teams that I was eligible to play for. After years of playing for small and fluctuating rec league teams, it would have been a wonderful opportunity to play with my public school friends on a competitive team instead of a U-14 to U19 co-ed team.

WV needs to step their homeschool game up and provide equal opportunities for homeschool students that other states currently already provide.

Team sports are very important to kids. It gives them confidence and teaches them sportsmanship and gets them outside....off their phones and games.

The parents of private and home school pay taxes to support the sports teams so it is only fair all students get a chance to play.

This would definitely be a great opportunity for homeschool students. My boys not being able to play football was the only pitfall to homeschooling. We love football! I love homeschooling my kids and teaching them on a personal level, and I'm not willing to give that up. My boy oldest boy is in the first grade and has asked my why West Virginia won't let the homeschoolers play sports when other states will. I hope and pray that this works! I would love to see him be able to play highschool football and still get to homeschooling him. Thank you!!!

This bill supports opportunity for all children. All parents should benefit from the tax dollars they are paying.
