Please support the "Tim Tebow" bill in West Virginia

I'm all for the Tim Tebow Bill for WV! Should have already had something in place for private schooled and homeschooled kids!

What a great chance

I disagree... it should be all or nothing. Why should a parent get to choose what parts of public education a child should participate in. I feel public school sports teams are part of public schooling. It's a choice. I feel a child that attends a school should never face being cut from a team for one who doesn't attend the same school. That would be injustice.

I strongly support the tim tebow bill,

I have two homeschooled teens who had to play basketball for private school teams and an upcoming middle schooler who will be searching for a team next year. They would be an asset to our local school team and they deserve to play in a bigger arena.

All children deserve to play sports

The incorporation of homeschooled students into group sports in WV will be a great step forward. Making sports available to private and homeschooled students makes complete sense, especially since our tax dollars already contribute to these programs. My children are young now, but I look forward to them having the opportunity to join group sports... something that I can't offer at home.

Home schoolers deserve the right to try out for these teams!

Yes! We need this here in WV.

Our rural communities in WV need to work together for the benefit of the children. A parents' decision to homeschool their children should not remove the option of extracurricular opportunities especially when those parents' tax dollars are still going to support the public school system. All of our WV children need every opportunity that are state and counties can provide. The public school system needs to realize that its education model does not suit every child or family for various reasons but that mismatch in educational philosophy should not result in a denial of the opportunity for those children to play public school sports or participate in band and music programs.

Would love to see this get passed. I was homeschooled and this would be a great opportunity to school aged children.
