What we seek is a relaxation of the rules or, at a minimum, a "skate at your own risk sign". According to Tom, the park ranger over there, our park has tougher rules than the state requires. It's all about insurance because people can't and don't take responsibility for their own actions. Skateboarding is an inherently dangerous activity. People can and do get hurt. If one is smart, one would take protective precautions, but it's this constant back and forth that is non-beneficial. Another thing is how unfriendly it is for people to walk around with no connective sidewalks and there are a lot of kids trying to maneuver their way around here w/o getting themselves injured or killed.

Ridiculous rules. Everyone knows the risk when they step onto a board. Just put up the sign so we can actually use the park without being hassled every five minutes.

Fix the sidewalks too. My kids almost get hit by cars every time we visit. Way too much traffic for there to be no safe place to walk.
