I was one of those freshman that had 30 dual credit hours coming into college and I had to live in the dorms an additional year because my hours weren't from WT. I this this is a great idea, if student are responsible enough to get those hours in high school they shouldn't be punished they should be rewarded.

Some students can't afford to live on campus or pay the high price for the meal plans. It's also ridiculous to make them pay for the meal plan when they know they aren't going to eat on campus!

I have had a lot of trouble with the residential living office and their policy. Very in favor of letting all sophomores live off campus and counting high school credit hours towards that exemption.

I can afford to live off campus (and it actually turn out to be cheaper), but because of the 60 credit requirement I'm forced to stay in the dorms and pay money I actually don't have.

They didn't change this till I was almost done with my college career but 60 hours should allow students to live off campus if they want to! Stop being money hungry WTAMU! It's not a good look on you.

It is because they will lose too much money. Amazing to me at 18 a young adult can go fight for our country but can not attend a college without living in their dorms. Stupid!!!

Agree with this 100%! I shouldn't have to request to live off campus when I'm 4 hours short of 60 hours post high school. If they included high school dual credit hours, I would have 86 at the end of spring. Come on WT! Not even Texas Tech makes them stay on campus until 60 hours are reached!!

I tried to get an exemption for financial reasons and was denied over and over again. It's a ridiculous policy and a waste of hard earned money.

Even though I was approved for off-campus living it was still a pain to get it finalized. Dorms are for freshman!
