As you may know, club members do not receive any form of remuneration/honorarium, and the work they do is done with the sole purpose of supporting and engaging fellow students in an effort to improve their experience on campus. This can often require a substantial amount of time, energy, and sacrifice. Despite this, clubs as a whole are not recognised in the same light as members of the SRC regarding the level of support they receive. This includes the allocation of designated or authorised office/storage spaces, and printing provisions. Allocating this exclusively to SRC students who do receive remuneration for their time and efforts fosters inequity amongst students.

This petition calls upon Western Sydney University to recognise the valuable and meaningful work clubs do, by providing them with designated offices/spaces similar to that which the SRC, SR&P and Student Engagement receive, including free printing access for club related material, and the consideration of modest honorariums.
