If you knew him personally knows he always put others before himself and always did what he could to keep others happy. Anyone that knows him knows he couldn’t hurt a fly ecspecially his beautiful daughter. He left everything he had in mass to go down to NC to be there for his daughter. Same old story yet once again, go figure. This young Man is a veteran of the United States Armed Services and is automatically assumed guilty due to being so. Most are so quick to convict the gentleman without even knowing one fragmented detail of this account. You read what an individual types, of which does not have any convicting proof or proper police report. We should all assume that this grieving Father is innocent until otherwise proven guilty if that is the case. Until then, let us all be patient and pray for the Families involved. Remember, this is all about the 11 week old baby Girl (God bless her) and her Father, not us. To the King Family, you have my prayers and condolences. God’s speed to your Granddaughter and God bless you all.

Not "guilty" just because a finger has been pointed. This is a place for those who support this man. If you are not one of them, feel free to move your comments to Facebook. Or, better yet, start your own petition titled "HANG MARINE / FATHER WITHOUT CONVICTION." I can assure you that the people who support this man will not lower themselves by commenting on it.

He killed his own daughter. Just face it and stop making this horrible (and easily preventable) tragedy worse for the family of that poor baby. He is going to spend the rest of his life in prison and they don't like baby killers in there. I hope he suffers extreme pain every single day of his life in there. Prison justice is coming

I’ve known shamus since we were children, I’ve never seen him hurt a fly nor have I ever heard him speak of doing any harm to another human never mind a baby.. whatever the cause I’m sorry for the family but this deserves a fair trial

Shamus has been a best friend to me for about 10 years now. I absolutely trust shamus with not only my own life but also my sons. For those of you saying Shamus wasn’t ready to be a father; you clearly didn’t know him at all. I’ve never seen someone so excited to be not only a father but to have a little girl. There’s nothing that compares to that bond. You can’t fake the emotion in his eyes, his heart, and his words when it came to talking about Harper. Shamus up and packed up his ENTIRE life to go to North Carolina to be with his daughter. If he didn’t want to be a father, he would’ve been like every other deadbeat in this world and stayed put. His main priority was to make sure Harper always had her father by her side as she grew up. And for those of you saying Shamus snapped, that’s garbage. Shamus use to go places with me and my 8 month old son. Anytime he threw a hissy fit, cried, or screamed, Shamus would take him from me and calm him right down. Not everyone is meant to be a “family man” but Shamus was. He is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever had the pleasure of having in my life. He’s a true one of kind. You just don’t find genuine and kind hearted people like Shamus anymore. I’ll be here standing by his side, fighting everyday for his innocence. When the justice system is done taking the necessary steps to uncover the truth, I hope you all swallow your tongues for the disgusting things you’ve said about him. I love you Shamus. ❤️

This is absurd! Shaken baby syndrome has CLEAR signs that doctors can see right away. From what I understand he was the only one with her, so how can he be innocent? How can another person be responsible for the MURDER of an 11 week old baby? This whole petition is disgusting and it's disturbing at all the support these people are giving to this baby killer. Have no doubt ppl he will get his karma in the penitentiary and it's deserved!!

If you're getting to the boiling point with a screaming newborn, you set the child down in a safe spot, step away, and collect yourself. Shamus did not do this. Shamus snapped. Harper is dead because of Shamus.
