Pay attention to the fly-by option. We live in Ivins and the new corridor will seriously affect us and Santa Clara. I believe it will be necessary to adjust traffic flows in the future but Pierce is correct, there is different options.

Please do not make the wrong decision to build a highway on sacred ground. Our earth needs smarter thinking and challenging the easiest route. Thank you!

This highway would be a slap in the face to anyone who says they love St George. Most people have moved to the area because of the beauty of the outdoors. Let’s not ruin by putting in a highway when there are so many options that wouldn’t destroy the precious desert space.

Tortoises, arches, Dino tracks and a lot of other plants and animals should be a reason to plan the city a lot more carefully.

I want to see the petroglyphs, trails and wildlife in this area for years to come. When I first moved here a little over 10 years ago, I was amazed to see Quail and Roadrunners everywhere. I never see them anymore. Don't let this happen with the Desert Tortoise.

This city of Saint George & the surrounding area are beautiful, but that beauty won’t last long if we don’t fight to preserve it. The turtles are just as big a part of the community as you are :)

You may want more roads that lead to more houses but when you cut into the red rock that people live there to enjoy and tourists come to enjoy, you are biting that hand that feeds your community. This is not just about traffic and by creating more roads you are inviting more development that will lead to more traffic that will lead to more roads. Where does it end. Why build more roads and houses giving way to more neighborhoods in an already water-constrained area? Look at SLC, every piece of land is taken with development. Preserve that space as a park and protect it for future generations. Let's not be beholden to developers! Have courage to stand up for what is right.

I am for smart growth, but not on the preserve. The last time this happened was suppose to be the "last time". How many more last times?
